In massive networking deployment, sometimes adminstrators will apply the same devices configurations to make the network plans easier to be scalable. For exmple switches port configurations, PDU outlet/PoE port scheduling or Camera video quality.
The Device Template function allows you to create configuration templates by model and apply them to devices of the same model within the network, making scalable network maintenance much easier.
Note: Device Template requires Pro license.
Go to Configure > Device Type > Template to create device templates.
Create device templates
You may Edit existing device template if there are any new configuration changes. Or click Apply to All to apply the device template to all device of the same model to your network directly in this page.
Manage device templates
If you'd like to apply device template to specific device(s), go to network device list (Manage > Device), selecting target device click "Apply Template".

Note:
The Apply Template button only available under network level device list.
Device template can only apply to device of same models to prevent configuration errors.
